If enough people complain about the ABS system, a recall will go into effect. Good old govt intervention at its finest.
Expired warranties generally do not apply to safety recalls.
Any manufacturer trembles upon a recall. Once one hits the vultures come out and lawsuites flow like wine. If an ABS failure causes an accident the recall system will force BMW to take action for all makes and models that use the failed part or design.
Please report them regardless of size or impact. This boils down to the safety factor can never be taken lightly.
Take a minute and look at the recalls of the past and you may agree that reporing is the right thing to do in any case.
