I have a 1985 k100rs. I'm thinking about putting a Harman ECU or BBR Performance chip on my bike. Does anyone have any experience with these? Is one preferred to the other for my bike? Will I need to do any other modifications to accomodate sd chip?:scratch

The chips you mention are for Motronic bikes. Your 85 has no removable chip.

This isn't what you want to hear, but it is good advice. Just enjoy the bike the way it is. Your not getting any more power out of it. And the '85 already has more power than the later K100's.
A lot of people tried everything to get more power from the K100. The dyno results showed that it was pretty much a waste of time, money and effort.

There once was a SoCal company that sold Turbo kits......even got a 200 mph award at the salt flats.....

Your K bike has the smoothest power delivery you will ever know. There is no room for improvement IMHO.
Also consider that 90 horse power is well beyond the realm of underwear soiling speed. If you ever get to redline in fifth gear please tell us about it. Better yet, put it on youtube so I can watch it. Some of those Hayabusa videos are riveting.
