I've started a web page to document this project for anyone interested. It doesn't look to be too complicated, but will take me a bit of time to complete, simply due to lack of funds and time, but at least it's begun.

Great job. Interesting to see how many twin shocker parts will bolt on.

Do you plan on adding any details to the website that documents what you did, parts you changed, where you got the parts from, costs, who did what work? I have a 93 R100R as well and might be interested in some of the work you've done but not all. Some details might be helpful.
Great work and look forward to its completion. If its ever completed.

hjuster - Sure - I'm trying to document all the things I do but I must admit I tend to blast through certain parts of the process and then think "dang I should have shot some pictures along the way"... But next time I update the page I'll look for more informational detail to add, and costs where possible - great idea.
Vanzen - I'm flattered and grateful for your appreciation of this project! I agree - I've wanted the R100R package for years, for the chassis & wheels, but was never 100% sold on the look. Started out thinking I'd build a more "hot" cafe bike but realized I'd do better in the long run to have a dual-seat bike with touring capability, and you can't beat the S look. I think this one will be a keeper.
I'm building up the parts for the next phase which is all the bodywork. I have the tank, a seat is on its way, and I've located an S fairing and fender. Not sure yet what I'll do for a rear fender & tail-light treatment, stock or not... Would love to possibly go LED for lighting but it's pricey. And I have a color picked out, not telling... Have to get checked back in on how paint works these days - I've sprayed hundreds of gallons of acrylic enamel and lacquer, 25 years ago, but not much since.

I'm guessing that the seat in the pictures is not original. I was just about to order a Corbin. Curious as what is on the bike and what you think about it.
Thanks for the info.

That's a Corbin seat recovered by Sargent and about ready for another recover. It's very comfortable, and will probably be for sale once I get the new seat on... Very firm but still is comfy. Not sure how firm it was new, and I have not sat on it for more than an hour at a time so far though, so can't say for sure re. longer rides. Seems like it would be AOK.
