Chatachuk Market. I've seen it all. Bull fighting, cock fights, and now fish fights.

We couldn't purchase a flight without 32 hours notice so we hired a driver to take us to Cambodia. Fixers got us through the border quickly. We obtained all our travel visas for each country prior to leaving the US. Thailand requires no tourist visa. We arrived in Siem Reap home of Angkor Wat and hundreds of other temples late in the afternoon.
Yes, that's a casino in the background...

Hour massages where about $10. We took advantage of the discount many times.

Siem Reap is a great little town.

We hired a tuk tuk driver to take us to all the temples or wats early in the morning.

Don't know if it is there there but there was great French Hotel in Siem Reap that produced the best French Onion Soup - anyplace east of Paris. The lobby looked like something out of Irma La Douce.
Great pictures - keep them coming!

The one thing Sharon wanted to do on this trip was to ride an elephant. I could care less and after about 3 minutes I wanted to get off. This guy took us to the entrance of the next temple. He steered the elephant by pushing on its head behind the ears in pointing the head into the direction of travel.

At every temple these ladies kept following me..

I can't remember all the names of the wats right now but this is the famous Tomb Raider movie temple with Angelina Jolie.

We were supposed to meet our tuk tuk driver on the the other side of the temple but we messed up and came back to the entrance. He was obviously waiting for us on the other side 3 miles away. Prom, 22 year old girl selling souvenirs heard about our problem and took advantage of the money making opportunity. She earned her $2 and I had a fun ride through the jungle.

Great photos. I've been doing rides in SE Asia every year for some time now. Have pretty much decided that Laos is the best. Try it on your next trip. Check out David Unkovich's site at: http://www.gt-rider.com/ It's got all the info on bike rentals, places to stay etc. Great resource.

I'm sure that monk would have something to say about the envy I'm feeling right now. You are incredibly fortunate. That is some real soul-stirring travel there.
