Turn signal bulb cross refferance

Heya Guys and Gals. Have an 03 k1200gt. Question is, my manual says to use a P25-1 12V 21 Watt bulb. Will an 1156 bulb work instead? If not what are ya'll using for a replacement bulb in leiu of the P25-1 bulb. Thanks for you input.

If I remember correctly, an 1156 is only 10 watts and isn't a halogen. Yours sounds like it might be a halogen.
