I purchased an adjustable regulator for my 84 RT. No instructions came with the thing. I installed and left at default, battery did not charged enough. I turn it to the plus sign, seemed to not go over 12.5. Turn to minus and now 13.5 at 3500.
Any one else used one, and what was your experience. I don't have time to upgrade charging right now, and want to be able to pull a trailer.

What model? Who makes it? Who did you buy it from?

Oh, and what colour is the RT, does it match the colour of the regulator?
Just kidding, I just couldn't help myself.
Actually know the brand, make and model would help considerably. Otherwise we are shooting in the dark. Then, some of us are constantly in the dark.
When you do get a chance to upgrade your charging system, look into the Enduralast system. Extremely easy to install, takes about 3 hours, or less. John Rayski is excellent to deal with and really stands behind his products.

ADJUSTABLE VOLTAGE REGULATOR 2 VALVE BOXERS 70-ON (IB301A)
I could find no brand, came in a plastic sleeve, and nothing else. Works fine I think, but not another thing, not even a packing slip

Tom -
That's a Transpo voltage regulator. I installed the non-adjustable IB301 a number of years ago. Snowbum mentions them here:

but his links don't really help with instructions. You might try searching and see if there's something more specific.
