I'm a new BMW owner in the SF Bay Area. Rode when I was younger (mostly scooters but also motorbikes) and have gotten back into it in the last year or two. Recently purchased a G650GS, my dream bike (OK, it was the F650 that was my dream bike, but times and designations change!), and am loving it.

Just wanted to say hi to all... and nice to be here...

Welcome to the family. I wish I lived so close to so much good riding as you do.

SF is our favorite city to visit.

Lots of good folks and great info here. Be sure to check out the regional forum for upcoming events in your area. Folks are always looking for riding partners and you won't be a stranger when you own a Beemer.

Glad to have you here. Look forward to reading some ride report (with pics) of the area.

BlackFly and I were out your way two years ago, and we were amazed at the wonderful, twisty
secondary roads in Marin County.
You are lucky to be where you are, indeed, definitely motorcycle country.
Welcome aboard!

Thanks for the welcome, very nice to be part of the community!

Definitely a lot of great riding here in the Bay Area, trying to get out a bit more to enjoy it but the work schedule has been keeping me from riding as much as I'd like of late. Love riding in the East Bay hills, lots of curvy roads with some cool views. Haven't gotten over to Marin, but would definitely like to, especially thinking of riding up the coast and camping at some point.

Will keep checking on on the regional forum, cool that there's so much going on! and definitely get a picture up soon...

if you haven't done so already, get thee to san jose, find alum cave road east from the 880 and then the mt. hamilton road. continue over the mountain and down, turn left on mines road and head to livermore.

fabulous east bay ride!!! :burnout

You will get a lot more response if you post the same message in the "West" regional forum.

Looking forward to reading your ride reports. :wave

Thanks for the tip Ian, sounds great! Don't get to San Jose as often on the bike, but taht sounds like a good reason to do it soon...
