Anyone out there own a Rockster I have a question???

Hello,

I have a 2004 Green/Black Rockster. I have a cleaning question about the mate black finish on the gas tank.

I had a rub mark on my tank from my riding jacket so I used some mothers paint polish (it's not a compound just a polish) and the rub mark came right out, but the mate black finish does not look even, in other words the waxed part is a "bit" shinner.

What are people using to polish these mate black tanks?? Should I just wax the rest of the tank to make the finish look even?

I moved it to Oilheads.

I like to use the "Show new posts" button up there in the upper right corner to keep from wading through all the forums. When I'm done, I click the Mark All Forums Read button. Next time I come back, I only see the new stuff.
