Have good clean running 68 R60/2 with bad noises in bottom
Have good running but bad smoking oil burning 65 R69S

Can I put the cyl/pistons/heads from R60/2 on R69S block till I
sort out the Bottom problems or will there be issues such as:

oil flow passages not line up
wrist pin diameter differences
valve motion/cam lift issues
don't recall if pushrods same or not
other

Anybody ever tried this?

After checking a few sites for part numbers, I find differences between the R60/2 and the R69S. The pushrod tube seals are the same but the pushrods and pushrod tubes have different part numbers. I don't know if there are any physical differences, but it appears there might be other differences.

The bore and stroke of the two engines is the same, so that's a positive thing.

I'm really not sure, though...

Try giving a call to Vech.... he and his crew are great resources over the phone. Also, Hans Lowe at Hucky's is a great phone resource. Of course, support both of those guys with your parts purchases as needed!
