gas tank repair

ii need your help please.. my gas tank has major problems with the coating on the inside and i have to clean that coating off and clean it out and replace the coating. is this a major job if not what's the procedure? thanks for your help.

I hate to tell you this, but yes it is a major undertaking. :(
BUT... it's not impossible.
The most difficult part is cleaning the tank.
After hours (days) of messing around and cleaning the tank, it had to be cut apart and blasted in the end, welded back together and then red-coated.
It is up to you if you want to do it or have someone do it for you.
If you are not very handy, let someone that knows what he is doing, do it for you.
