Some of my favorite pictures from rides all over

Well, in anticipation for many more updates to come, I thought I would begin by posting some pictures of my favorite rides around. I selected Big Bend National Park since I find so few ride there. Too hot in the summer and too far for the average Joe not from the Mid West South Region.

I also added in some pictures of Death Valley as I thought it was appropriate, since I felt like I rode through the entire desert getting to Big Bend. Don't even get me started about Del Rio! What a border town that is. Sorry to those that live within 300 miles of it (the 3 of you).

The second link worked for me. Beautiful pictures! LOVE the sunset ones! The random bike pics are pretty cool too! (gotta love a sidecar and a bike loaded down for travel!) We REALLY need to get to Big Bend sometime soon! Thanks for sharing!

Love to. Once I finish up this ride, I will be parking the GS in Dallas until the next adventure or my return trip to Dallas. Most likely in September. If you have not been to Big Bend, September and October are great month to visit. It would be brutal to try that with the Texas heat now.

A must stop in Del Rio for the night.

I assume you have ridden to Mena, Arkansas. Those are my favorite ride since you can get out of the "kill zone" meaning Metro Dallas and Fort Worth and see hills.

Have fun and ride safeOh yes...we head up to Mena every month or so...it was actually COOL (at night) last time we went a month ago. It's hard to believe the mountains are actually that close!

We most definitely have Big Bend in our sights and plan on making a trip sometime in the next year or so. Thanks for the tip on stopping in Del Rio!
