You'll have to call EVERYONE.

There is the little league world series going on in the area as well.

Last I checked, the Red Carpet Inn at exit 63 of I81 had openings. It's 9 1[/2 country driving miles from the rally site.

There is a brand new Holiday Inn Express that just opened in Johnson City. (423) 328-0500. Book on-line. It will save you about $20 a night. Also, check the Holiday Inn Express in Kingsport. I cancelled two rooms there as well as the Double Tree in J.C.
Good luck.

I just cancelled our room at the Holiday Inn Express in Johnson City. Try them.

Sadly, we've had to change our plans and won't be coming. My stepmom is on round two of chemo and she is also my dog sitter. I just couldn't justify the trip. I'm really bummed....

Does anyone know of hotel availability close to the rally site? The closest I could reserve was a Days Inn at Bristol, which was only like 24 miles or so according to the Map Source. I know they have openings cause I had to cancel mine yesterday:cry

Thanks for this.

I was able to reserve at the Doubletree for all nights. And it's right in town, fwiw.

The Holiday Inn has rooms (and is 30% less expensive) but is over sold on the 17th.

I think despite some cancellations some places are still overbooked.....
