Friends,
There will be a small memorial service for Rob on Saturday Sept. 25th at
1300 in Tucson, AZ at the Air National Guard base. The service will be held in the cafeteria on base. Anyone wishing to attend should plan to meet at Rob's home ON MOTORCYCLES (if possible) and from there we will ride to the base.
All Rob's riding friends are invited. The details will be published as
soon as they are available. This notice is being sent so you can keep this day
open if you are planning to attend.

Here are the details for Rob's Memorial:
PLANS FOR ROB LENTINI'S MOTORCYCLE PROCESSION
Final plans for the motorcycle procession escorting the Lentini family
from the family residence at 2509 South Sahuara Avenue to his memorial
services are as follows:
Memorial Services are at the 162 Fighter Wing, AZ ANG Guard Base, 1500
East Valencia Road on Saturday, September 25 at 1:00 PM.
MOTORCYCLE MEETING SITE:
2509 South Sahuara Avenue (Sahuara Avenue runs north and south. The
residence is located just north of Golf Links Road). Riders will park
on the west side of the street, opposite the Lentini home, with the
M/C pointing south towards Golf Links Road.
Please! We ask all riders to respect the families' wishes to NOT have
visitors at this time. We will make ourselves invisible to the family until
they come to their cars to leave for the services.
SHOW TIME FOR PARTICPANTS:
Between 11:15 AM - 12:00 PM
DEPARTURE TIME:
The procession will leave the Lentini residence at 12:30 PM sharp in
order to arrive at the 162FW base at 1:00 PM
PROCESSION DETAILS:
Two military personnel dressed in the (riding) military uniform of the
day will follow the family vehicles. The rest of the military
personnel, dressed in the (riding) military uniform of the day will be
in front of the Lentini family. All other riders in civilian riding
attire will be in front of the military attired riders with the
exception of two of Rob's Motorcycle Safety Instructor buddies to the
a rear of the entire formation. Two of Rob's BMW buddies will lead the
escort behind the funeral -police-type motorcycle escort. The 162FW
Security Forces personnel will direct M/C riders to the M/C Escort
designated parking site.
RIDING EQUIPMENT: (Civilian and Military)
Due the memorial services being on a military installation the
following motorcycle riding safety gear must be worn:
Helmet, Eye protection, Gloves, Long sleeves, over the ankle foot wear
and visibility equipment.
Military personnel wishing to be part of the military escort riders
(voluntary) in the memorial procession will wear all the above
required equipment plus:
Long sleeve blue shirt, name tag (mandatory), tie (mandatory), ribbons
and occupational badge (optional), blue pants, black military boots
(Shined), flight caps will be worn when helmet is off.
Visibility equipment, will be removed before entering the memorial
services. No BDUs (Battle Dress Uniforms). Military members in
civilian attire will be formed in with the other civilian riders.
CONTRIBUTIONS:
We will require funeral -police-type motorcycle escort. Organizers
will be collecting contributions at the motorcycle meeting site to defray
the cost of the required escort. Any funds collected above the cost of
the escort will be contributed to a charitable organization selected by
the Lentini family.
We would like to have everyone RSVP to one of the following
individuals by Wednesday, September 22 in order to coordinate the
on-base parking and the funeral -police-type motorcycle escort cost.

We had to include "visibility " wording in the above letter but nothing special will be required. Just wear your normal safe riding gear.
