I'm shopping for a new K12RS and I was wondering what range vs. the sticker did people buy their '04 for? If you reply, list any options your bike might have come with when you bought it so I can compare apples to apples.

Consider used. There are a lot of them out there. There is a 2002 with 25,000 miles, cruise control and saddlebags at Canton (CT) BMW for aout $10,000. That sounds like a good deal to me and it's sat there all summer.

I def am considering used-there's even a really nice 99 w/ 12K mi at the dealer near me. And seeing other '03's and 4's in the $13K range leads me to figure that one won't be getting much off the the sticker of a new bike when it's at $16,000.

fact of the matter is that October /04
is a great time to buy from a dealer. Used rs or gt in the 03/04 with less than 10k on them are running 9500 to 12000. Great time to buy used or new.
Do your home work and good luck

I bought a '04 RS with Heated grips, Cruise, and 5.5 rear wheel in July for $16,000 with BMW incentives and got a 3.9 APR. Hope this helps you.

If you get the RS and want system cases for it, remember to do the deal on the bags before you close the deal on the bike. I forgot to do this and I think my dealer stuck me some on the used cases I ended up getting ?

I would suggest you get the bike deal worked out, but paperwork not signed, then ask about the system cases if you are wanting them.

I have talked to two separate dealers, and they both said that the K and RRS do not appear on the 2005 price list. it looks like the end of the RS for BMW for now. The KGT will be available, and eventually the KS, but the RS is history as we know it.

Wow that's KRazy. I'm surprised, especially with the popularity of the K1200RS.

Is it known yet how much the K1200S will retail for?

Best I've heard from my dealer is $17~18k. Whatever, there won't be any deals for a while.

Anyone interested in a brand new 2004 K1200RS as a bargan price - my local dealer has a blue & white one on the floor for about $12k. They are paying flooring on it and would like to see it gets a home.
