What are the details on the 8k run that is scheduled for Saturday morning?

I see on the schedule there is a meeting on Friday at 4:00 but we won't arrive until later that evening.

What time does my wife need to be there on Saturday morning to participate? How does she sign up?

Thank you,
Keith

I'm interested in how the planning for this is coming along, too! I participated the last three consecutive years, and it's been much fun. I plan to run this year, too... :thumb

Here's the info I received after emailing the chairperson for the 8k Run:

Y'all are welcome to sign up Saturday morning; since you'll miss the runners meeting.
I usually have people sign up for their age group at the runners meeting so this allows us to keep the start time at 7 am and have a gathering time of around 6 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. at the Registration Tent.
I will add names early if you supply me with the following info: Name, Age on Race Day, where you're from (to announce at awards & for the write up in the ON Magazine).
Or, show up before 6:30 and sign up then.
This is a small event(about 50 runners); and we keep it informal and fun. It is an approximate 8K ; since as motorcyclists with limited space; we keep it simple an focus on just doing a run based on
the conditions we have when we get to the site-which is when I map out a route. That is another purpose for the meeting; but I will quickly announce the directions before the gun goes off.
The race is free, finishers get pins, and I have made awards for the Age Groups. I plan on supplying donuts & drink after; and the rally photographer takes a picture at the awards after the race. A small race is able to be scored quickly with the efficient system I learned. And I have dedicated volunteers and welcome more to assist!
Many people return every year they can to run this; since we are celebrating the runner in us motorcyclists; and the focus is on making it a good experience.
I hope to see you both soon!
