Histeria Channel's "Ice Road Truckers" series has moved into new territory. They are running the Dalton this season. For anyone who has ridden the road, the show will crack you up. They keep refering to the Dalton as "the ice road" and every show I have seen so far shows the downgrades at Atigun Pass shot with a telephoto lens that makes it look like you are going down the roller coaster at Cedar point.

There used to be another show on the History channel called Tougher in Alaska or something like that. Equally hilarious...

Tougher in Alaska, Ice road truckers, Deadliest Catch, Jesse James riding a beemer with helicopter support, the reality show with the starving contestants hunting for the first time; it's Alaska overdose!
To top it off, my seventy year old father in law built a cabin up there for him and my wheelchair bound mother in law. Oh, the place is only for the toughest.:rolleyes

agreed, pretty soon any job that exposes you to modicum danger will have its own show
"Extreme Mailman"
"NYC Meter Maids: Street Stories"
"Copier Repair: The Papercut Files"
it's dreadfully boring tv and i usually enjoy boring tv, "Modern Marvels: Bearing Grease" bring it on, but these shows are snore fests. "OH CRAP, THERE'S A TRUCK A MILE UP THE ROAD GOTTA BRAKE" (shot of trucker, shot of brake, stock shot of truck falling through the ice, brake, trucker, brake, trucker, cb radio, headlights, moose, trucker, brake...................) "AHHHHH PHEW...that was close" (no shot of how close he actually came to hitting anything). combine about 9 of those and some boring shots of a trucker getting ice of a hitch and you've got an episode.
we get it, it's cold and ice is slippery.

Deadliest catch wasn't too bad the first season. Now it seems very much over-scripted.
"Wrecked" is pretty dumb. How glamorous/dangerous can it be as a tow truck operator?
What's next, Dangerous washing machine repairs?

Don't bad-mouth Deadliest Catch - those are our home-grown boys out there catching your crab legs! We like to go visit the boats when they're in port here in Seattle. In our kayaks, we can get right up along side some of the celebrity crab boats.

O.K.
I'll see your boat and raise you some Montana cowpokes, putting the steak on your plate.
