I was out riding yesterday and noticed the GSPD was getting close to a new milestone, so I stopped for a photo when it did:

That's an average of 4375 a year.
I've had it since August of '07 and since it needed a bit of work here and there, the R80/7 has still been getting some mileage, but a little over 10K are mine. In that time, we've had good and bad times - I'm happy to say more good than bad. The top end has just been rebuilt and she runs great - looking forward to swapping out the TKC 80's for Anakees and taking the long way down to Johnson City. With the bit of troubles we had to start with, this is finally a trustworthy and enjoyable ride - worth the money I've put into it! :thumb

I'm just a happy rider bragging for a moment. :)

Wonderful! :thumb
BTW, nice timing on the bottom pic to coincide with the train!
Congratulations on the milestone! +1 on the picture comment.
Don't apologize for the miles/year number. Miles per year are only one way for an avid motorcyclist to measure the sMiles!

The picture was truly luck. That was a rainy day last October heading to "Color in the Catskills". As for the train, the person who led me to this spot had never seen a train going across there, before that day (If I recall correctly). The perfect storm. :)

Miles/year really doesn't tell the whole story. Figuring that most folks can average 70 mph on the slab, and 40 mph on secondary roads, and ??mph in the dirt....what a bike really needs is a saddle-hours meter, lol!

Hey, it'll be good for another 70,000 or two 70,000's. Hope you put them all on the bike!
Great photo! Always liked that particular instrument panel design. Very clean and functional.

That is the Tunkhannock Creek Viaduct in Nicholson, PA (roughly North-NorthWest of Scranton). Here is a google map of Nicholson and the viaduct. That photo was taken on the road to the right of the map, RR1 or "1031" (before the creek). Viaduct is in the center of the map - you can zoom in a bit more, even. There is a nice park on the west side of the viaduct where you can get a good view, as well. It's kind of hard to miss it. :)
