Looking to trade or buy or source the the following for a 92-95 R 100 R:

If your R100R has some of these chrome parts your not in love with, I'll take em off your hands for some cash PLUS the replacement in standard black issue. My bike has just 7000 miles so all parts are clean, scratch free and in proper working order.

Chrome gas cap, chrome front fender brace, chrome handle bar end weights and chrome brake and clutch levers.

I've part sourced a number of other chrome parts including the carb tops, turn signals, mirrors and others on RealOEM.com The above items I've yet to source.

Looking to pimp out my Mystic with the chome bits that came on some of the other models. I'll give you my black part PLUS cash for your chrome equivalent.

The polished aluminum turnsignals of the '70-'74 models would look good on that bike. I'm planning to attend the Beemer Bash July 4 weekend at the old Dogpatch off Highway 7. Looks like a good BMW campout. Barry

Barry....I've found the chome signal housings at Chicago BMW for 20 percent off list price....about $30 a piece. They will not need polishing like the alum ones and are about the same price.

Beemer Bash looks good, I was just up that way last weekend on a ride. I'll plan on going as its not too far for a one nighter....

Keep an eye out for a R100R owner who is not in love with any of their factory chrome parts. Saw one at bike night at the Crab Shack last month...should have tried working out a deal with the owner.

I have seen a couple of R100R's with chrome. The bing caps and the cylinder covers had the chrome peeling off. Not a good sign. But I guess if you take better care of them that won't happen.

Yeah,

I'm scrapping the carb tops. Seen the flaking as well, first hand and its not pretty. I'll be better off polishing the alum ones. I do have new chrome valve covers and those are holding up well.

Apparently alum and chrome plating do not mix well. Live and learn.
