Good morning all
I have a '75 R90/6. Need to replace the rear shocks and would prefer the open look such as Hagons.I am a casual rider, nothing special.
All suggestions welcome
Thanks, Mike #123187

Works Performance (http://www.worksperformance.com/html/home.html)

YSS USA (http://www.yssusa.com/)

i've been riding with a YSS monoshock on my 84 R80ST for the last 5 weeks, has improved the ride greatly. had Works on my 84 R100, same deal. both are quality units and won't break the bank like ohlins or wilbers (which may or may not be available for your machine), esp if you're not looking to become a vintage racer.

Ikons are the other choice, replicas of Konis. They work fine for me, but I don't ride the bike that much and don't push it when I do.

Progressives are also a good choice. Reasonably priced and much better than OEM.

How about the Wilbers shocks? Anybody have any experience with those?

No experience but I'm planning to have some experience when I find a used set. The Wilbers 531 is the "least expensive" for our twin shock airheads and a set is over $500. I'd be interested if anyone's selling a pair. PM please.

I put some Konis on my R100RT about 3 yrs ago. They were "reasonably" priced and made a big improvement over the stock originals. Most of my riding is touring with some backroads and they do well for me.

I just replaced the OEM shocks with Progressives on my '83 R100RT. Amazing difference in the ride, no more bottoming out on every dip in the road. And the price was very reasonable at $230 including USPS shipping.
