I ride everyday that there is no ice on the roads. So, I will be riding to work tomorrow. And the day after that, and after that, etc.

My Plan for RTWD is as follows.

1. Walk West from my apartment 8 blocks to garage.
2. Ride bike 9 blocks East to my office (which is around the corner from apartment).
3. Park on street in front of my office (usually between two kinds of giant SUV).
4. Give doorman high five in celebration of RTWD.
5. Work.

Come on, now - can't you take a ride through scenic Central Park, at least? :)

I'm thinking this is catching on. The last few years I never saw any more bikes than normal, but today when I usually see none on my side of the highway, there were two just on the off-ramp. Lots more on the other side of the road, as well. I'm just not sure it's due to RTWD or the weather. Nice to see, either way. :thumb

I rode! And wouldn't you know it, I got sent out on an errand. I enjoyed a nice, hour long ride in the warm sun! Thanks boss!:wave

Minnesota was loud pipe/chromehead central this weekend, with HD's Yamaha lookalikes, san helmets EVERYWHERE I went, yet not alot of BMW's out there.

Saturday my wife made the mistake and "cut in"to a column of 200 + HD's with her Subaru, and from what I hear got flipped the bird by a couple of boys who wer lagging back quite aways. God Forbid they had to follow a lady in her Subaru for a mile of so!

What was she supposed to do, wait for 2 miles of chrome to parade past? She's a Beemer gal, so HDs do NOT impress her a bit:)

This morning, my usual Vstrom Buddy waved at me, and I plus I saw two HD's, and they were the ONLY bikes I saw coming north on 35W. , the major interstate heading into Minneapolis.

A couple of Honda Gold wings coming south in the coveralls went out of there way not to look OR wave...(right)!

Maybe it was the 5:30 AM hour, dunno

I rode in today. The only other bike parked when I got in was a silver wing scooter but I start about an hour earlier than most people so I expect there will be more bike parked outside when I leave today.

Saw a few more bikes than normal. Had a “brisk” ride in. Passed every HD I encountered (BMW 5 –HD 0). Nothing like coming into work refreshed, and full of piss and vinegar. It’s great that I can have so much fun while saving the earth from my gas sucking SUV. To add to my fun I found out one of the HDs I passed was being piloted by a co-worker; who, loves to talk smack about his brand verses mine. :nyah

I ride everyday but the cool thing about today is that at 6:20am I heard my wife pull out of the garage on her bike, something she never does is ride to work. Called her about 8:00 am and she was the talk of the hospital for piloting a MC to work. I'm so proud of her. In all of her 7,000 miles so far since she got her license she likes to follow me around so today was AWESOME! Baby steps

I rode to work, put the cover on and walked in just as the rain started to fall.

Every day is Ride to Work day for me :)

Spring quarter at the University of Washington ended last week, so there were 40,000 fewer people trying to get into Seattle this morning. I enjoyed a speed limit commute on I-5 - hopefully something that will continue for the rest of the summer!

but I've ridden to work every day since the last week of April. It's been a month since I put any gas in the car.

Don't like being in a cage unless I have to.

I rode to work, put the cover on and walked in just as the rain started to fall.

Did the same but rain held off until noon here. Poured here mid-afternoon but rode back home with the skies dry but water on the road.

Of 16 riders at work I was the only one who rode in today. It was raining, which the GS loves but the Chrome and Noise crowd apparently doesn't. Heck, that's how I wash my bike! :nyah

It was awesome riding home this afternoon through torrential rain, occasional sun, and glimpses of rapidly approaching lightning bolts over the surrounding hills! Good pre-rally test of my rain gear.
