So this is the second day this week that I have been able to ride to work. Both days start out in the sixties and the sun just coming up over the horizon. It is forty miles to work one way and mostly highway. Within fifteen miles of work the traffic starts to pile but not to the last two days. The weather has been perfect, the bike purring, the traffic very light or with nice pockets of open space, and the air clean-clear-crisp making me arrive at work with a smile on my face.
If this is a simple pleasure, then it is a gift. I am very blessed. :thumb

Thanks for the reminder - to be grateful for simple pleasures. Enjoy the ride. :)

Drummer: Thanks for the reality check. All too often, we fall into the trap that we need more "stuff" or something spectacular in order to have a good time. Really, when it comes right down to it if we are honest with ourselves we'd have to admit that we are happiest when doing the simple, rewarding things. This is the way the good Lord made us.
