I was just wondering what motorcycle magazines everyone was reading these days. What is your pleasure? I just got my first issue of "RoadRunner" and I have to say that I'm VERY impressed with it. They pulled me in with their rally special subscription deal.. realed me in like a fish. I like to pick up the British mag "Bike" from time to time in the book store but with the £ to $ conversion it is getting a bit too pricey for me.

I know some others mentioned liking MCN... Any other voices from the assembled mob?

Just the BMW ON for me, I guess I spend most of my subscription dollars on woodworking magazines. Too many hobbies, not enough time, isn't it always that way...... At least I have something to occupy the long ND winters. A nice warm heated shop and a few neccesary tools and I'm happy as a lark.

I think someone did a poll in the past. You might consider editing this thread as a poll. I read Rider (as well as ON and OTL) but will read Backroads when I can get a free copy. Lots of the regional bike newspapers have great stories, Only problem is they are free at the dealer or way too expensive by subscription. I don't stop in at the dealer often enough or at the right time of the month. I would be more than happy to subscribe to a bunch of them if the price was more reasonable.

First thing I noticed when my RoadRunner magazine came was the R1200GS on the cover..gotta love that!
Also I like the "Shamrock" trip reports that they have in every issue. They also include a Tank bag Map of the tour.
The magazine is based in North Carolina so they have a lot of
stories and reports on the East side of the Mississippi !
So far they have had a half dozen trip reports around the
Ohio/ Kentucky area !

Other magazines ....Rider,BMWON,
BMWRA On The Level ,and T.W.O. (Two Wheels Only) is a nice magazine !

... I have been equally impressed. I subscribed three issues ago, and am very impressed with the the photography and print repro quality. The graphic design is a cut above, if not top shelf. Not sure, but I think that book has been around for a while.

I was also going to recommend it to a friend who said that she wished there were more domestic touring stories in the BMW ON.

Also in snail mail subscription is Cycle News, who has recently undergone a format change... a higher-surface newsprint to carry finer dot-screen color pics. Sorta like the British MCN, which I read in soft-copy form (great book).

I let Robert Helman of BMW OTL tell me what I need to know from Motorrad... (http://www.motorrad.de) and I often run their site through babelfish.

Motorcycle.com (http://www.motorcycle.com) is something I subscribe to online. Their forum is not as good as this one, though. :)

I really like the Canadian on-line site CMG. (http://www.cmgonline.com/) That editor has a very cool attitude and was *extremely* cooperative with his pictures and information when we held our our rally in Ontario. Very nice guy.

Somehow, I keep renewing my MCN subscription.

I miss my CityBike.

Ian

edit: whoops... forgot my American Motorcyclist subscription/AMA membership!

Let's see...

MCN
Rider
American Motorcyclist (AMA)
OTL
ON
Robb Report Motorcycles

I am sure that there are more, but that seems like this months pile. The biggest problem is finishing them before the next ones show up.

BMW ON
Road Bike (which is all metric now)
Rider
I likes all three. Guess that is why I paid for them to show up monthly, eh?

Here (http://bmwmoa.org/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1474&highlight=magazine) is the old link for the thread that we used to have on this topic.

My favorite magazine is the British magazine Bike. In the interest of not repeating my post from earlier I give my reason for it being my favorite in two words only Dan Walsh.

I get monthly:

BMW ON
Cycleworld
Motorcyclist

And I'll buy Rider and Roadrunner from stores/newstands.

I'm seriously thinking about dropping my subs to CW and Motorcyclist, and subscribe to Rider instead.

I tend to read every mag I get in the mail, or read off of the stand cover to cover.

The Boxer Shorts is the monthly newsletter of the Yankee Beemers, and yes you are missing something good.

I have been getting Roadrunner since the first issue, it is my favorite. I get CW also because of Egan. I like rider magazine, on, otl. and I sometimes read the ama rag.
