Recalls

Hello everyone:

Glad to say I'm back on two wheels after a 20 year break following a crash (1980 R65 vs. a Buick, the Buick won).

I'm just getting through my first year owning a 2000 R1100R and wondered if there was some kind of posting somewhere for past or current recalls that may have been issued for this bike. I've been reading the forum lately a see several mentions of recalls on other bikes, and since I bought this one used I'm not sure the bike was kept up to date. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Can't help you with a listing but I can tell you I have a 2000 R1100R (non-ABS) Pics of my bike (http://home.cshore.com/markf/mybmw.htm) and I have never had a recall that I know of.

Also if it is an official recall, call BMW they need to follow up with all owners to be incompliance with the Federal laws.

Thanks for the info everyone. MarkF - looks like we have the same bike except for the fairing. I did find a recall on the link from kioolt about fuel lines so you may want to check it out.
