MCN UK has announced that KTM is going to enter MotoGP in this (http://www.motorcyclenews.com/nav?page=motorcyclenews.articles.articleCategory.a rticle&resourceId=1185265&articleCategory=SPORT_MOTOGP)
article. My question is, does anyone think that there may be a BMW entry anytime soon back into racing of any kind? I'm not talking about the Boxer Cup either.

I think BMW is pulling in the reins (or tightening the purse strings) so they can concentrate on getting off the back of the grid in F1. First Dakar, now Boxer Cup. I don't see them racing anything new until Williams has regained some of it's former glory.

Now that's an interesting theory. I hadn't thought of BMW trying to cut motorcycle racing for Formula 1. Good luck to them though in catching Schumacher and the boys. Don't get me wrong though, I really really like Juan Pablo Montoya, but I don't think BMW will be willing to pony up the cash to be able to really compete with Ferrari.

Anyone remember the untouchable Williams-Honda team in the eighties?
Red 5 forever! :)

Now that the big KTMs are shut out of Paris-Dakar because next year's max bike is a 450!

Dude, I remember when Colin Chapman and Jimmy Clark had the F1 world by the tail. Times change. Everybody gets their turn at the top of the hill. Ferrari has been there numerous times. (For instance when a certain Mario Andretti won the world championship) All it'll take is for Michael to retire and a new top dog will lead the pack.
Right now I'll put my money on BAR. Too bad they're losing Jenson Button to BMW.
BMW has been there before (with the Parmalat Brabhams), I'm sure they'll be back. Thankfully, without Juan "If you can't pass 'em, crash 'em" Montoya. No offence YB, but I hope the door doesn't hit him in the ass on the way out.
