Rode from Galveston to Freeport/Surfside Thursday...the Bluewater Highway road has been rebuilt where it was washed out from IKE and you had to drive on the beach. My first clue was the tollbooth was open at San Luis Pass. They were finishing sweeping and striping when I passed thru. Having a second way off the Island again from the West End is NICE!
