View Full Version : Seat Jack for RT1150
Thinking about buying a seat jack for my RT1150 anyone ever tried one?My only complaint with my new purchase is sliding
forward while braking.

I have not used one, but you may want to check out the Adjusting seat pitch (http://bmwmoa.org/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2926) thread which has some comments and do it yourself suggestions.

I made the seatjacks that Rich made (see BB's link) and I love them on my R1100RS. It took me about an hour to make and install them not including the time to go to the hardware store and get screws.
The seat is much more level and much more comfortable.

I too had the sensation of sliding forward ...very uncomfortable (if ya know what I mean)
I didn't mind spending the money for the jack kit ,but you can go to a hardware store and get large O.D Flat washers with a small I.D. and you will get the same result.
Just get about twenty washers .Just need about an 1/8 " rise in front.
It feels MUCH better after you make that small adjustment !!
