Because of heat / high altitude fuel will vaporize in the fuel line before getting to the carb. It's a problem that plagues carb vehicles of all kinds up in the mtns.

Vapor lock is very uncommon these days because the fuels are better. The RVP (reed vapor pressure) of gasoline is changed as the seasons change and for differnt parts of the country. I once filled a vehicle with fuel in AZ and shipped it up to Hudsion Bay in the middle of winter. It was extremmely hard to get the engine started because of the high rvp of the fuel from the warm climate being used at -25F.
So to vapor lock a vehicle you need to exceed the evaporation point of the fuel. Once this happens the fuel is no longer liquid. Then you have to cool things off and bleed the system to get it working again.
These bikes can develop a vacumm lock problem when the gas cap quits venting, but that isn't related to the rvp of the fuel.
Are penguines better grilled or fried?

Grilled, However marinated in brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder and just a touch of sesame oil( cause its strong!)
