Two Brothers on a K1200RS

Hoping someone can give me information on the Two Brothers exhaust system. I purchased one a couple of months ago and didn't have much luck with it on my bike. Liked the sound but found that it tended to pop runnning up thru the gears and also backfired when letting off the gas. Idle was also erratic but nothing I couldn't live with. I thought maybe I had an exhaust leak so I went to the trouble of remounting and sealing the system but still with the same result. Put the stock system back on and all is normal. Only good thing I liked besides the sound was the absence of vibrations that always came on around 4000rpm. Has anyone had any experience with this system and if so am I missing something. Does it need a chip for the fuel injection or something else?

I've had a Two Brothers on the K for approx. 30K miles. The idle on my bike has always drifted about +/- 200 rpm with the stock exhaust or the 2 Bros. As far as backfiring that has not been an issue and at 30K miles the pipe makes real nice rumbling sound when I roll off the power. How long did you run the pipe? Your experience sounds normal except for the backfiring.
