What chips are best for 1200RS?

It all depends on what you are looking for. I went with the Rhinewest chip when it first came out and was very please with the increase in torque. When they came out with the Cam Gear/Chip combo, I upgraded. That really made a difference and it is really noticable compared to my buddy's 04 GT. The Cam Gear kit only works with the stock pipe, though, but for me that is perfectly fine. The bike sounds better with the kit, a little growlier, but since you are not changing the intake or exhaust, it does not change much. I do have a K&N filter so I can clean it out here in the boonies, but I think the kitted engine runs better/smoother with the paper filter. I still get 42-45 mpg in my weekly trips from Mendocino to Sac and back on SR-128.

Torque in the everyday range is where the Cam Gear/chip kit really shines. They have the power and torque curves on their website. Seat-o-d-pants says it is the best bang for the buck. Finley has them for $565 - http://piratesk12site.net/Product.htm
