I just purchased a Corbin Dual Touring Saddle for a 1994 K75T w/ the large clear plastic windshield. I converted the bike from a low to a standard with what I believe is the correct factory hardware

Here's my question the seat fits very well at the front, middle and towards the rear. But at the rear there is approximately a half inch gap between the rear seat and the slanted fiberglass tail section.

It looks like the seat will settle to some extent with a passenger on board, the gap could be filled w/ a piece of trimmed black foam or the seat could be returned to Corbin for alterations.

I've adjusted the seat w/ the available play in the brackets. Did I miss something? Is this normal for this seat? Are the tail sections on the K bikes different?

Any pearls of wisdom would be appreciated.

P/S the standard height and the Corbin seat make a world of difference in the comfort level of the bike.

Corbins use the hinges from '86-'92. If you have the later hinges, you'll need to get a set of early ones. You can ID the late ones by the rubber pad built into the rear hinge.

Thanks for the information. I definitely have the late hinges. Looking forward to getting the seat dialed in. Is it just the rear hinge I need to change?

Only rear seat hinge was required. Seat dialed in, looks sweet.

I'd be interested in buying the tank covering trim from your low seat swap out ...hat's the large rubber wrap around piece...anything left?

If westwynd can't help you out with the tank surround I may be able to do so in the near future---I'm polishing out my tank to bare metal and will be removing the low-seat tank pad thingy (will build up the seat or add a sheepskin cover afterwards) and probably putting up for sale in the Flea Market. I'm just waiting for my buffer/polisher to arrive from Amazon which will be later this month.

PM me for contact info if you're interested.:wave
