Can I just jump the wires and not have to worry about the switch?

I cut the wires very short on the "switch side" of the connector, soldered them and put some heat shrink on it. That was over a year ago. Removed the side stand switch itself also. Abs mod works well too.
Put a puck on the side stand also. Have to either recess it inside the puck a bit or remove some rubber off the bottom to avoid interference with the center stand. good luck...Matthew

I spliced my side stand switch wires as well. No probs!
What ABS mod are you refering to and what kind of puck?
Fellow GSing minds want to know.
Thanks
Kevin

On the left side of the frame just under the seat is the plug fot the switch. If you wanted, you could take a short piece of wire and crimp on a couple bullet/push-on connectors (male ends, I believe), make a U out of the wire, and insert it into the female end of the plug. Just follow the wire from the switch along the frame and you'll find it.

Is that made from a hockey puck?
Trimmed down to fit the foot?
