View Full Version : Suggestions of rides between Boston and Indy

I am heading out for a road trip from Boston to Indianapolis from May 16th, thinking about 3 days, and returning May 27 on my 2006 R1200GS. Does anyone have any suggestions of good routes/nice roads to hit along the way?

Rte 6 across Pennsylvania is a nice ride. I did it last year.

Are you interested in any rides close to Indy but not exactly along the way?

Lincoln Highway.................Great stuff to see, very historic. Do a search.

Rte 6 across Pennsylvania is a nice ride. I did it last year.

much better way to see things than 17 or 80 or 90. try the road that follows the allagheny river, great road!

Went out to western PA near the OH line a couple weeks ago. Took 90 across MA then went south on 87 a bit to routes 28 & 30 thru the Catskills. Both 28 & 30 were great rides thru the mountains; it was definitely worth it. Rte 30 all the way to rte 17 thru Binghamton, NY then drop down to rte 6 via 220. Rte 6 is a nice rural ride all the way across PA past lots of big farms and small towns.
