k12rs tie down ?

I just got a 02 k12rs a few weeks ago and am trying to figure out how to tie down the camping gear for two up riding my old 86 k75 has all kinds of tie down places but the new bike has only a couple of places to hook to. any info would be very helpful.

For Two up, you pretty much need a rack of some sort. The removable stock rack is decent for the little bag you can get for it, or, you can get a plate like a Top O the Line if they still make them. They may have one that fits, or you may want to drill and attach it. I saw one like that years ago done by a guy, like me, who saved his ToL rack from his K11RS and mounted the plate as said. Many also use the rounder bags.

Thanks have a small rack with back rest.may have to buy the wife a k12rs so we have more room ;) she likes riding my bike so much. I knew that leting her drive my baby would coast me ;) but shes worth it.

She wanted an F650 but after riding the k12rs I think I may have her convinced that K's are the way;)

That's a neat picture. And matching RSes!

BMW's clip-on rack, while expensive, is a great addition if you have to carry stuff on the back. I've carried our camping gear on one, and it worked nicely.
