A few days ago turned on the cam and recorded the descent of Rist Canyon. Ride goes from deep snow to no snow in 3:45. Enjoy the sky, the clouds, the fields, the snow, the gift of two wheels. George Winston on the piano accompanies this peaceful ride.

Beautiful and relaxing! I should have watched it last night before going to bed, not this morning when I'm trying to wake up. :laugh Thanks again, Steve, for your excellent work.

In 1972 I bought my first BMW. . . an R60/5 was my main set of wheels. I rode year around and saw many similar miles and smiles of dry roads, blue skies and below freezing temps. I had to help that little 16ah battery with the kick starter. So was life as a college student in upstate NY.
This beautiful video takes me back to the salad days of my youth.

Dan... Good to hear from you! firefly, Campbell -- it was a good ride. MAJOR change in temps and colors from the top of the canyon to the bottom. Remember seeing 39 degrees riding through the snow fields and five minutes later it was 61!

Hi Steve, another great video from The Silver State. Not much traffic, I guess you shot this driving up your driveway ;)

i zipped my thermal liners in my suit and went for a ride today, up into the Sierras on some of the lesser known roads that don' t get regular plowing. My loop connecction road was snowed in so i ended up basically with a 50 mile out and back, but the optimist sees this a 100 miles clean alpine roads with no traffic, well I did see on forest service truck inside a closed campground. Realizing I was in a closed system, and no reason for anyone going there because everything is closed so all this means that I'm the only one that had any business there. It was to shave at least 5 minutes of time off my entrance during my return.

keep up the good work. lets find ghost town in Nevada, half way between your garage and mine and have a Rally :drink

When I'm on my deathbed, bring me a Farson video to send me on my way. That's meant as a sincere compliment. Great work. You capture the best of it in my world.

Paul... Let's make it happen. Summer of 2010 I'll head west.

Bill... Nice thoughts - thanks. 37071 - ditto.

Thank you. It's nice, bicyclists in your part of the country wave back.
