Something weird happened on the way home tonight...

The center warning light on my beloved K100 (85) (the red triangle that shuts off when the second brake is applied) kept coming on upon hard deceleration. It would stay on a few seconds then shut off. I've been riding it hard (fast) the past few days going back and forth for a class I'm taking this week. (about 25 m each way)

I also noticed that the headlight would dim slightly until I accelerated.

I something happening? (alternator?) Or is it a wiring problem. This has not happened before.

Very strange...(German accent)

Carguz,
do any of the other dash lights flicker while riding?

Any trouble with turn signals?

two known electrical problem areas on these bikes is a dirty ignition switch and dirty starter

Ignition switch cleaning is explained by Don Eilenberger on this site:
http://www.ibmwr.org/ktech

I believe that cleaning the starter is also mentioned on the above site.

good luck

That triangle also indicates the tail light being out. The bulb monitor that reads this is known to be sensitive to corrosion in the tail light socket. Chances are your bulg has been replaced with a brass socket bulb, the BMW silver base bulbs usually eliminate this problem.
The headlight dimming may indicate a battery not holding a full charge.
You may also want to ensure the ground attaching point under the tank is clean, and also the starter is clean as it provides a ground path.
