I've covered over 4000 miles since leaving WV on April 3. Headed south to find out what the worlds about in Charlotte and got to hang out in Atlanta for a week and a half which was really cool. From there I headed west towards texas to put me in the pan handle of oklahoma where I planned to hang for a month or two but work called and needed me in the office so I rode back straight to pittsburgh from no mans land. got a 1000 miles under 24 hrs the first night and the next day arriving in pittsburgh about 6pm. I've been taking my time in some aspects, I've opened the bike up a few times. Talked myself out of a citation in texas and got one in illinois. It's pretty cool traveling by yourself, do your own thing. got to pittsburgh and hooked up with a few friends and rode north east out of the city on sunday and I rode to erie the day before.
next week heading back south to check out the mess at myrtle beach, hang in atlanta and back out west. I'm thinking of heading to san diego just to do it and head back to oklahoma from there. got pix which i'll upload at some point. Bikes running great, looks like its been being used, and the weather has been pretty decent.
Planning on spending till the end of summer on the road. see how things work out. later, houston

You're sure rollin' up the miles. Too bad ya couldn't talk your way out of the second ticket! Still you managed to get out of one, good job! I hope you can remain free enough, and footloose enough, to continue this ridin' lifestyle you've got goin' on!

thanks guys, so far so good.
Headed back south and hit up the myrtle beach shindig which was kind of a bust. Rode down with my dad (ultra classic) and a friend (road king), I stood out like a sore thumb with them and not to mention once we started seeing all the harley's heading south to the beach. I saw a total of 4 beemers.
Currently back in Atlanta, plan on being here for a little over a week then planing on heading back west since my last venture got cut short. I'll make sure I'm not needed back in the office this time before covering that much distance.
Ended up with a nice cockeyed sunburn once I got south. I had to drop the jacket, felt too good to finally not having to worry about a chill for once this year.
Dropping the seat off to get reupholstered today. I have a bad spot on the seat which I use one of those beaded deals to keep my butt dry but I'm ready to chuck the SOB. I liked the beads at first but after 5000+ miles it makes for a sore end. Got quoted at $115 for the reupholster, so I'll opt for that till I get a new seat.
While I was on cycle furlow in WV for 2 days I finally took in on myself to paint the front fender black while doing the other maintenance to the bike. Too much white and the front wheel looked like it was wear spats with the white fender. Toughens the look of the bike up. bit of aggressiveness now. May paint the rear pillion black. Nothing fancy, out of a can.
Keeping on top of work while on the road which makes for great inspiration when I get in creative slumps.
Getting some pix organized so I'll be posting those hopefully later today along with the routes I've hit up.
