Where can I get one of those "H" looking alignment tools for rocker arm aligning? Anybody want to trace theirs so I can make my own? Or is that intellectual property theft? Just as soon buy one. Thanks Red1974

Oak Okleshen has a drawing of it in his top end manual. I don't have it with me...

But you have a '74 R90/6...I don't believe this tool is needed for the /6, only the /5. The /6 should have slots that the rocker blocks sit in giving it most of its alignment. The pillow blocks can be adjusted slightly with pressure as the head bolts are tightened.

change to pillow blocks commencing with the 1976 model year I believe. I have a 1974 R90/6 engine which has the old style.

That seems to be right; learned something there. I looked at Anton's page and he shows the '74/'75 with the older style stud tubes which didn't have the indexing.

Perfect ,thanks for the help. I think I'll go with the 76 to 81 upgrade when I get the chance. Red1974
