I have a '00 1150GS. After a long winter, I replaced my front tire, put in a new battery and had to replace the fuel distributor which required raising the rear subframe enough to remove the airbox. After this was complete, I am now getting an ABS fault. It worked before this work, but not afterwards, so it is related to something I did, possibly when lifting the rear subframe. The new battery is fully charged (13.01v with the engine off), so that is not it.

The fault occurs (i.e. the two lights start flashing alternately) after turning on the key but before starting the engine, so the ABS start up test is failing. By running a volt meter between the brown/blue wire on the diagnostic plug and ground, I am detecting a fault code of 2. One source says this code for my bike is the rear pressure modulator. Where is the rear pressure modulator and how can I diagnose it? TIA :wave

Just a guess. If your bike is like my RT you had to remove the rear brake master cylinder and brake foot pedal. There is a micro switch that has to be in the proper position for the IABS self test to start. If the switch is adjustable like mine did you get the position correct??? Turn on the ignition and push up gently on the microswitch and see if it clicks and the self test starts.

Good luck
