Been working on my 60/5 for year and half. About ready. Just want to say that putting rebuilt speedo (Pal Alto-$354!!!!) back in. WHAT A DANG JOB. NEVER SAW SO MANY WIRES. If you take your head lite out. Take notes and mark where bulbs go. It will save you lots of time, trouble, and beer.

Something that I've read about on vintage forums is to paint the inside of the bucket white. It's not concours, but it makes a big difference in visibility when you're putting things together.

Almost all of us pull our bikes into the shop with the tail light facing the door. If I know I'm going to be working in the headlight, I back in, so I can use natural light. It's amazing how much beter the sun is than anything man has come up with.
