Can anyone tell me the elec curcuit the windshield motor is on? Mine isn't working and I think I blew a fuse, but cannot tell which one.

If you've found the right forum, you likely have an oilhead RT (1100/1150). I have an older (through '97) Clymer manual that claims F3 and F4, where F4 feeds the control switch and F3 goes to the relay and provides the current that runs the motors (and the most likely one to blow if the motor is overloaded). OTOH if F3 is blown, your turn signals shouldn't be working either.

My Clymer manual is similar (for all 1100/1150 RTs) except it states F1 feeds the control.

I just checked on my 1998 R1100RT, removing either F3 or F4 disables both the windshield motor and the turn signals/position indicators, though my Kissan Signal Minder might be causing some of that. Now I've a puzzle to solve. F4 should power the power sockets (and does on mine, but also seems to be in with other things).

Regardless, fuses can be pulled and inspected and it's usually clear when they're blown (you see the break in the fuse element - you can also look for resistance with a multimeter - out of its socket a blown fuse will show near infinite resistance and a good one near zero).

If it is a fuse, you'll probably blow the new one too and have to figure out why that happened. A manual with circuit diagrams is a useful (but clearly not perfect) investment.

Good luck. Gene
