I had the AeroFlow windscreen on my 2001 K1200RS part company with the bike while riding last weekend. All four of the nylon screws sheared off! I was going about 60 and there was no significant wind and nothing hit the screen -- it just took off!
When I spoke to Paige at AeroFlow, he said there was a retrofit to go to stainless steel screws to replace the nylon (or later aluminum) screws that were supplied initially. Apparently, retrofit kits were sent out to some but I did not receive one.
If you still use the nylon or aluminum screws, contact Paige at (888) 237-6777 and he will send you replacement screws.
I have to say Paige's response was excellent. I had a new windscreen in three days. He will be including this information in his new ads. I am posting this note with his knowledge and agreement.
