What is the tradition for your family or area for these days?
Here in Bermuda it is hot cross buns, cod fish cakes and kite flying on the beaches and golf courses.:dance
The traditional cod fish cakes are made from salted cod and one of the reasons for this is the consistency of salted cod and I guess the other reason is this was a staple from years gone by in the days of sail. Hot cross buns of course is a religious thing, hence the cross. Not sure where the kite flying came in but I guess to off set watching the paint dry or the grass grow. Geez don't ever tell anyone I said that.:whistle
The traditional Sunday morning breakfast, year round, is boiled cod fish and potatoes with a tomatoe sauce, half an avacado, a Bermuda bananna, toast, orane juice and coffee/tea. What seperates everyones cooking is the sauce, of yes, also boiled onions with a butter saice. No one said it was low cal.:thumb
