I recently sold my R1150R and I really like the looks of the R1100S. My concern is that I might be a bit big for the bike. I'm 6'1 and 210 lbs. Anyone out there riding the R1100S and fit the XL category?

Post your question here (http://forums.pelicanparts.com/forumdisplay.php?f=24).

You'll likely meet many similarly sized riding the R1100S. I'm 5'11" and 170 lbs and I ride an R1200S, but the guy I bought mine from is 6'5" and more than 210 lbs.

6'5" 205ish,

sold it last week, but it was my commuter for 4 years and my only mode of transport for the last 1.5 or so.

you'll fit, lower the pegs if needed.

Well, I'm 6'2", 250+, and I find the S to be fairly comfortable. Bought this bike about a year ago, and my first ride was 3800 miles in 7 days bringing it home. I sold an '04 '50R to buy this one. After I got it home did replace the stock seat with a custom fit Rick Mayer saddle. I'd recommend an S with the handlebars mounted above the triple clamps, most are that way in the US, but you do see a few with the lower mounts...

Oh, and I find the S much more comfortable at speed than the R, my R came with the BMW sport screen, and I changed that to a higher Cee Bailey unit, but never was satisfied with the wind flow at highway speeds. The more aerodynamic bodywork and screen of the S seems to work much better. For in town traffic the R is a bit more comfy, so guess it depends on where and how you ride, to a large degree....

Good luck! BJ
