I'm an MSU grad (91) looking to see how many other Spartans and their fans are out there. It's been so great to watch the boys in green roll through the tournament. I live just outside of Detroit, but I'll be driving to North Carolina on Saturday. My wife and I are planning to leave extra early so we can be at our hotel by 6pm Saturday evening to watch the game. Is anyone going to be at Ford Field?
Go Green :beer

I'm an MSU alumni (2001). My family and I live in Lansing (near Frandor mall), about 1 mile from the MSU campus. Lansing and East Lansing are preparing for craziness on Saturday night should the Green and White win. My wife and I have friends coming in from out of town and I don't think they have any idea what they're in for. I imagine we'll head out to the bar to watch the game, if we can find a seat.
Even if they don't win, it sure has been a pleasure watching MSU play the last 2 weeks, and I've only thrown my shoes at the TV a few times.:blah

Who'd have guessed: a win over UM in October and a Final Four appearance in April. Life is good.

Enjoy your time in NC, and GO GREEN.....GO WHITE!

Hey there-
Detroit is heating up too. Friday practices at Ford Field are open to the public, and I imagine it will be mayhem when the Spartans take the floor. I can only imagine what the inside of the stadium will be like on Saturday evening. High energy! They can't sell out the Lions games, but there will be 70,000 screaming Spartan fans in that place.
There will be a major pep rally on Friay at Somerset Mall in Troy, featuring Tom Izzo, the players, the A.D. (whoever that is), cheerleaders, the marching band and Sparty himself. Free hot dogs and ice cream for fans bedecked in MSU gear. I don't think that UConn gets one of those! I hope we win, but it's been a fun run either way. Enjoy the game and...
Sparty on! :dance

Hope you enjoy your trip to Blue Heaven. Notice the color of the sky while you are there.

Go Heels!:p

GO GREEN! GO WHITE!

We lived near East Lansing when we first moved to Michigan in '77.

If MSU wins on Saturday, I win the office pool. If MSU wins on Monday, that's like winning the pool, getting drenched with Gatorade, cutting down the net and doing a Chad Johnson endzone dance in my boss's office.
If MSU does that opposite thing of winning (can't say it), then I just give up my ten bucks like every other year!

I wouldn't mind if the North Carolina sky is green when I drive through. Course, if it is, I may have to drive around the state entirely. I do have Michigan plates.

One of my best friends is a Michigan State alum. These are fun times! If the Heels can't win, I hope the Spartans do.
