I had an interesting experience earlier this month when I found myself unexpectedly traveling with John Kerry and Teresa Heinz Kerry. Here's the story:

Thanks for the post. Can't wait to ride the new faster ferry sometime. As for the election, I'm voting for this guy: http://www.bmwmoa.org/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3464

Well considering the way our political system has been working of late, having a good (police) record almost guarantees one’s political success! I’ve been saying for years the best way to get elected is to first be arrested!

Ain't THAT a sad comment of the state of the state of our nation (not to be redundant) ??:brow

Enjoyed article Jeff. Great shots too. Timing is everything eh?

Read somewhere he rode a BMW (R1200C) before the DUC & HD. Any idea?

Did your being a motorcyclist help gain access?

What type of camera did you use? Did Mr. Kerry show you his medals?

What type of camera did you use?

My new (and now favorite) Nikon D70:

Very cool. You got off easier then I did when I did sound for President Clinton when the Marine helicopter crashed in Orlando. I got very thoroughly searched and was not allowed any tools or cameras.

Yup, I had my own "escort" as well. Kinda intimidating ain't it?

That's a good report and a good photo. You both pull off the slightly-wind-messed hair well.

Did Kerry tell you what a bunch of war criminals us Viet Nam Veterans are? I did not read your post, but if I would have met him, I would have done an about face!!!

I believe my post here was nonpartisan and apolitical. I simply reported on an unexpected encounter with John Kerry. I do not believe I made any political comment in the post.

I would prefer that this thread stay apolitical.

Very nice! :clap

I'd suggest to those that hadn't read it for political/philosophical reasons that you take a look at it.

What medals? He threw them over the fence. No wait that was ribbons. No wait it was medals but not his. No wait they were someone elses ribbons. No wait they were wrappers off the mars bar he ate. No wait that would indicate he comitted a crime littering. He was standing next to a vet who threw someone elses ribbons over the fence while another person threw the mars wrapper over the fence.

I saw him ride a bike on the tonight show. He wore a helmet and leather jacket. Then he reached down with his hand to lover the side stand. I've never seen anyone lower a sidestand with their hand. What a poser!!!!

Good post however.
