Hello!

As you might be aware I'm converting my 99 R1100RT-P from a Police setup to a more standard two-passenger configuration.

I have a question regarding the flasher/emergency flashers. My bike has a CHP flasher system installed which originally controlled strobes, lights, and the factory turn signals. The police strobes and other lights have been removed from the bike prior to my purchase.

Question #1. Where is the original BMW flasher located on a standard bike?
Mine is under the rear passenger seat and is part of a larger assembly to control all the other lights which are no longer on the bike. I'm going to remove it and try to use the original assembly if possible.

Question #2. Do the RT's of this year (1999) have an emergency flasher control on the handlebars to turn on/off the emergency flashers?
I have a flasher control mounted to the left of my throttle control and it has an orange indicator that illuminates (I think) when the flashers are on.

As always, any input is appreciated.

Thanks!
Scott
