They say it was a 3.1... (http://www.pnsn.org/recenteqs/Quakes/uw03200442.htm)

3.1? That's hardly anything. At most that feels like a truck going by outside.

(This being the opinion of someone who rode out the Sylmar quake in 1971, which was a 7 pointer.)

All I asked is if anyone felt it. I know it's small... It just seems more exiting around an active volcano. 2's and 3's are an almost daily occurrence 'round here.

Being in CA I guess you ... didn't... feel it ... then huh...
Wait...
Oh ... What's that...
OooOOoo!

Uh, just the train... whew...
never mind... :laugh

I'm not sure....

I felt SOMETHING....

Oh, maybe it was the three burritos for dinner last night?

But all's well that ends well!

I do hope there won't be ay major events at St. Helens when I ride her backside this coming summer...!

Cheers! :drink

been a lot of activity there, an eruption may be imminent... imminent being in hours to months...

AP reports it erupted 5 times yesterday.
My thoughts are with our Alaska sisters & brothers.

That camera is no longer working, though it might be a battery problem since they set it to record more frequently.

Try this:

Anchorage, Eagle River, Palmer, and Wasilla (Kenai are too) seems to have been spared the ash fall for now. That could change anytime... I have my N95 face mask, extra air filter (covered with hosiery) , jug of water for cleaning the windshield, and covered all the electronics. My only concern if they tell us not to go to work is keeping the grit out of my drink and hot tub ...

Now we're gettin' some ash! Light dusting in on the tarp I used to snug up the hot tub. Now, what do I wash the "trail" dust down with...
