Search the members list?

I'm kind of wondering what the point of a 'Search' box is on the page if it refuses to find member names.

I tried a partial name - no results.

I tried a possible variation - no results.

Then, I remembered his username, so I typed it in - no results!

So why bother with the box if it doesn't do anything? :scratch

The quick search box only searches in titles and messages. Unless the name actually appears in these areas, it won't find it.

Instead, click on the Advanced Search link in the Search drop down. On the right side of that page you can enter a member name and search for posts by them.

Had the same experience but Kanary helped me with this problem. The usual search box is under construction.
BUT
try the search button located between "New Posts" and "Quick Links." That one seems to work.

I do not believe that the search box is meant to be used with the members list.

Click on "Members List" and then look for "Search members" on the top right hand side of the screen under the page numbers . . .
