Sturgis Campout

Does anybody know if the SD group is planning on the usual campout this year during Sturgis? It is usually listed in the ON, but it hasn't been this year. Thanks.

I just got done talking with Peter, the owner at Whispering Pines Campground. He said that no one had contacted him this year, but he is still planning to offer the same deal to BMW riders as in prior years. You can drive in any time during Sturgis, no reservation needed, and ask for Peter or his wife. The cost is $9.50 per person per night as in prior years.

The Whispering Pines Campground is near Silver City. Its on Highway 385 south of Deadwood and just a few hundred yards north of the intersection of Highway 385 and Highway 44. Their phone number is 605-341-3667.

Hey, it's about time you register. :) Thanks for the info. I'm still working on plans, I happen to have a very sick kid at the moment and waiting to see what shakes, good thing his mom is a nurse.
