Here’s a new set of BMW OEM crash bars for an R1200R. My dealer said he’d give me a pair if I gave him $440.00 + tax, but I found ‘em on eBay from a guy in Israel and got ‘em for $350.00 delivered and they are nice! 100% stainless steel with a satin finish (maybe fine bead-blasted) with beautiful welding. It took me less than 5 min’ to install. There are two bolts and two screws that hold the whole thing on because there are already tapped holes on the lower engine case and upper frame-----super easy! There’s nothing that you have to unbolt on the bike to install this set, don’t even need instructions because it’s so obvious how it works.
They have a nice contour and don’t look like an “add-on”. I couldn’t find any information on the ‘net about them so I think they’re an option that became available recently from BMW???
